This article from Mothering.com about raising chickens makes me want to move out of the city- something that not even the lure of a bigger house or a fenced-in yard for Mico can do.
Next stop for us is hopefully a house with some nice land in Oregon or Northern CA - chickens, a vegetable garden, a couple of dogs, fresh baked bread, laundry drying on a line, alpaca for wool (I'm taking a spinning class soon!), kids running around, a wood shop for Kev, craft/writing studio for me, a hammock in the yard, and still somewhat near a city for all the city life stiff we love- that's the dream anyway! The lure for all that is strong, isn't it? Some day!
